Assertive Community Treatment or (ACT)

ACT is a mobile, multi-disciplinary, mental health team. They bring support services to the individual, instead of the individual seeking out the services. ACT works with individuals with severe mental illness, whose needs have not been well met by more traditional approaches.
This program is open to those age 18 and older.

Treatment is covered by Medicaid, Medicare, and most health insurance plans. Oswego Health Behavioral Services works closely with managed care companies and governmental agencies to communicate patient progress and facilitate appropriate discharge planning. The National Runaway Switchboard is a not-for-profit volunteer organization whose mission is to provide confidential crisis intervention and referrals to youth and their families through national and local telephone switchboards, as well as advocacy and educational services on behalf of youth.
