For the elderly, chronically ill and disabled individuals living at home, The Manor offers an Adult Day Health Program. The program provides enjoyable, supervised activities, nursing care, a delicious hot meal, and door-to-door transportation. These programs enhance the lives of seniors living at home by providing a social community, along with a broad range of elder care services in one place.
Activities include recreational, social and educational activities, entertainment, music, creative arts programs and daily exercise. A registered nurse and certified nurse assistants provide nursing services as required including medication administration, wound care and personal care. Social work services, counseling and family support are also offered.
Participants with special needs are welcome, including adults with incontinence, behavior problems, difficulty speaking, memory loss and wandering. Our facility and program rooms are wheelchair accessible. Program staff is well educated in Alzheimer’s and dementia care and strive to integrate participants into all activities.
On-site physical, occupational and speech therapy is available with a doctor’s referral. Whirlpool therapy is available with a doctor’s orders. Beautiful patio areas are perfect for socializing with friends.
On-site hairdresser and massage are offered at a reduced rate to keep these “extras” reasonable. Periodic visits from a dentist, ophthalmologist (eye doctor), and podiatrist (foot doctor) plus annual flu shots are available. A consultant pharmacist offers medication reviews.
Our program helps participants with a wide range of cognitive and physical needs, whether they need nursing care and supervision, or simply socialization and a structured community setting.
Care is available Monday through Friday from 10am-4pm. Participants can be dropped off as early as 9:30am and picked up by 4pm. Door to door transportation is available by a handicap-accessible bus.
Medicaid and private pay are accepted. In some cases, long-term care insurance, Worker’s Compensation, or the VA may cover adult day health care. We are available to questions about insurance eligibility.
